Cool article Renny. After reading it, I started wondering why the facebook community lacks that narrative. Narrative requires conflict and characters, while Facebook places you in a largely safe bubble with only your friends and their concerns. That is no nation and no wider community. I wrote up a post on my blog: (http://numenary.com/why-the-facebook-nation-lacks-a-narrative/) where I talk about these things and the ways in which virtual worlds like Warcraft attempt to create narratives.
