Perhaps it's not quite as simple as I made it out to be, but I do think brand-sponsored content, in this case an event, or more specifically, a rock concert, is a better offering than an ad. The issue I see with events is relevance to the brand in question. P&G is not rock and roll, whereas Bacardi is.
